Spontaneous weekend and new products!
Sunday, December 3rd, 2006Friends phoned on Friday to see if we would like to go to the waterpark at West Edmonton Mall. We were on week 3 of my husband being really busy (between work and side jobs) so it was nice to take a family weekend. The boys had a blast and at the end of the day, we were exhausted! Poor Logan was sick last night which is awful but he seems well now.
I have some great new products coming! The first is so exciting…HABA toys! Let me just say that it is really difficult being an indecisive person and having a catalogue with 300 pages worth of amazing toys in it. I had a hard time deciding what to bring in but I picked some that I think kids would love. The toys should be in by Christmas!
The next is a line of baby sign language products. I am meeting up with Giselle from Wee Sign to discuss the products. I have done basic signing with all 3 of my boys and around 10 months, it’s pretty remarkable how quickly they pick it up. Lately, we haven’t signed a lot with my youngest (16 months) but he still remembers a lot of signs! I’m thrilled to be able to bring in products that I feel proud to carry.
The last product is still in the works. I was so fortunate to meet a like minded mama in my son’s kindergarten class. She told me she worked with gemstones and I asked if she would be able to make nursing necklaces. A couple of weeks later, she presented me with a test necklace she had made herself and she was kind enough to make me one as well! I wish I had a picture of it, it is beautiful! She put black onyx, amethyst, and moonstone. I wear it everywhere and Gavin loves playing with it. He has given it some pretty darn hard tugs and it’s holding up! I really can’t wait until she has these ready to stock! I convinced her to open up her own Etsy site so check it out! Sappho Silver.
I am also currently in search of Canadian baby bath products. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that I find something soon. I am (lazily) trying to get my own line of baby products developed…I just need some time (and perhaps a new sewing machine). Keep an eye out for that!
